My Photo Editing Journey

When I first started editing, I’ll be honest, I couldn’t stand it. I’d procrastinate as long as possible, and when I finally sat down to do it, the process would swallow up my entire day. At the time, I had just started out as a photographer, and was eager to dive into new gigs. That’s when I stumbled upon an opportunity to become an in-house wedding photographer. I was thrilled, until I learned there was a catch. To get the job, I also had to become an in-house editor, responsible for editing not just my own weddings, but the work of all the photographers at the company.

I was hesitant, to say the least. Editing wasn’t my strong suit, and I didn’t exactly have a passion for it back then. But I wasn’t about to let this opportunity slip away. So, I took the job and jumped in headfirst. And you know what? After editing hundreds of weddings, let's just say I got the hang of it. What once felt like a daunting task gradually became second nature.

Looking back, it was an unexpected journey, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. That experience taught me so much, and it’s given me the skills to help other photographers like you today. Now, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned and to take the stress out of editing for you and help you focus on what you truly love, capturing those incredible moments.
